Lead with purpose. Grow with support. Thrive in a team that genuinely cares.
If you're ready to step into leadership without losing yourself in the process
If you love nursing but feel stretched thin, unheard, or unable to make the impact you know you can, this role may be exactly the change of pace and purpose you have been looking for.
The Opportunity
We are working with a modern, purpose-built practice in the Southampton area that has created something many nurses wish for but rarely find. A stable, well-established nursing team, a caseload that keeps you sharp, and a culture that values warmth, curiosity, and growth.
They are looking for a Head Nurse who wants more than a title. Someone who enjoys guiding others, shaping standards, and raising the quality of patient and client care. Someone who finds energy in variety, communication, and building a team where everyone feels valued.
Here, success is not measured by how many plates you can spin. It is measured by the environment you help create. A place where nurses feel supported. Where clients trust your guidance. Where pets receive the level of care you would want for your own.
Why This Role Is Different
A team people want to stay in
The nursing team is experienced, friendly, and proud of the work they do. Many are pursuing certificates, and several have developed specialist interests that enrich the caseload and learning environment.
Leadership that feels human
As Head Nurse you will not be expected to be superhuman. You will be supported by a collaborative leadership team that values open communication and team wellbeing. Your voice will be heard and your ideas will matter.
Clinical variety that keeps you engaged
With a broad caseload across surgery, inpatient care, and consult support, no two days feel the same. You will have the freedom to shape protocols, coach best practice, and build on the modern facilities available to you.
A rota designed for real balance
You will work
4 days per week
, with
1 in 4 weekends
