Head Nurse

Private Dental Practice

Clear Smiles, a new state-of-the-art practice, is looking for a Head Nurse/Clinical Lead who is energetic and enthusiastic about caring for patients whilst able to provide great chairside assistance to dentists, and delivering exceptional clinical standards across the practice.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Lead:

Ensuring Compliance is exceptional and in line with GDC and other regulatory standards
Performing Surgery and Clinic checks to review clinical standards
Addressing low standards with staff and taking remedial actions to improve
Documenting observations and improvements made
Performing mock CQC inspections
Ensuring all services and assessments are completed by external contractors
Ensuring stock levels remain optimal, equipment is serviced and well maintained
Addressing pain points with staff and clinicians relating to clinical and stock issues

General

Taking responsibility for the decontamination of instruments
Maintaining dental operating equipment
Ensuring that all relevant materials and supplies are in place.
Looking after patient records - including making notes when the dentist is examining a patient.
Working closely with the dentist responding quickly to requests and generally keeping the surgery ready for use
Providing clinical chair-side support to dentists
Ensuring CQC requirements are met.
Providing excellent patient care
Updating patient records
Decontamination of instruments
Setting up surgery ready for clinics
Cross infection control
Front of house duties

Requirements:

GDC registration Essential some experience in dental nursing Essential clinical lead/CQC experience Excited and passionate about transforming smiles and making an impact. Working Schedule looking for part-time or full time (30-36hrs+).

Monday: 8am - 2pm or 2pm till 8pm Tuesday: 8am - 2pm or 2pm till 8pm Wednesday: 8am - 2pm or 2pm till 8pm Thursday: 8am - 2pm or 2pm till 8pm Friday: 8am - 2pm or 2pm till 8pm Saturday: 8am - 2pm
Potential to pick up more hours if available. Our opening hours are Monday - Saturday 8am-8pm so you will need to be available to work in these times.

Salary:

14 - 15.50 per hour.

Requirements:

GDC registration

Desired experience in Treatment Coordinating

Essential Experience in dental nursing

Excited and passionate about transforming smiles and making an impact.
