Oxbridge Summer Scholars is an academic programme held at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, designed to give high school students a real taste of life at two of the world's top universities. Each summer, we welcome students from around the world to take part in rigorous academic streams, inspiring tutorials, and cultural activities that build confidence, critical thinking, and global perspectives.

About the Role




We are seeking a Head of Academic Program to design, oversee, and deliver the academic experience for the Oxbridge Summer Scholars program. This role is central to shaping the quality and scalability of our courses and ensuring that students benefit from a rigorous and inspiring academic environment.


The Head of Academic Program will create new academic offerings, manage the academic timetable, and work closely with tutors, lecturers, and guest speakers. They will also be on-site throughout the summer to supervise daily delivery, ensure smooth program execution, and maintain academic excellence.


This is a highly impactful role as we aim to welcome 250 students this year. With high student conversion rates already established, we are looking for someone who can strengthen and grow the academic side of the program.

Key Responsibilities



Program Design & Development Create and scale academic programs tailored for Oxbridge Summer Scholars. Develop new course offerings aligned with student demand and academic trends. Ensure programs meet high standards of academic rigor and engagement. On-Site Academic Leadership Be present in Oxford/Cambridge for the duration of the summer to oversee delivery. Supervise tutors, lecturers, and academic staff to ensure quality teaching and student engagement. Resolve academic or operational issues that arise during program delivery. Academic Operations & Production Manage academic schedules, timetables, and resources for smooth execution. Collaborate with program production staff to align academic and logistical needs. Maintain compliance with safeguarding and safeguarding best practices. Stakeholder & Student Engagement Consult with students and families (non-sales, interview-style academic fit conversations). Build strong relationships with tutors, boarding schools, and external academic partners. Act as a key ambassador for the Oxford & Cambridge academic experience.

Requirements



Strong academic background, ideally with an Oxford or Cambridge degree. Previous experience in boarding schools, summer schools, or similar academic programs. Experience in curriculum/program design and scaling academic offerings. Strong leadership and communication skills Able to commit to being on-site full-time during the summer program. Highly organized, adaptable, and committed to academic excellence.
