The Role:



We are looking for an experienced, creative and passionate teacher to play a key role in the strategic development of the Junior School's Learning Support Policy, promoting a positive profile of neurodiversity and learning provision to staff, pupils, parents and the wider community.

As Head of Academic Support Junior School, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the whole school Learning Support Policy and the coordination and delivery of additional educational support; the aim of which is to increase staff awareness of neurodiversity, SEND, EAL and promote a quality-first teaching approach to meeting all pupil needs in the classroom, ensuring changes in legislation and current research are reflected in the Junior School practice and staff training.

With a comprehensive knowledge base of neurodiversity needs in general and specifically dyslexia, dyscalculia, OCD, ASD and ADHD, the successful candidate will embody our ethos of 'Every Girl, Every Day' and will share our wholehearted belief in the importance of a personalised approach to learning for each and every child.

Experience of junior/prep class teaching covering a range of abilities, ages and curriculum subjects is required as you will also teach Maths and English to a group of engaged and enthusiastic Year 6 pupils.
