Role Information




We are looking for an inspirational leader to join Learning Curve Group as Head of Academies - Construction. Our Construction Academies division is made up of three Academies based within the North East at Middlesbrough & Sunderland and one in Exeter. Whilst you will spend a significant amount of time based in the North East, we do require someone comfortable with travel to Exeter on a regular monthly basis, which will include some overnight stays.




ABOUT THE ROLE



We specialise in various trades including Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery and Painting & Decorating, we also offer Multi Skill qualifications. Following significant investment in our newly equipped Sunderland skills academy, we now offer a commercial provision on Green energy source heating as well as solar and charger installation and electrical and plumbing upskilling courses.



Our offering of provision in these areas vary from Short & Long Courses to Apprenticeships and Study Programmes, where our learners will receive experience of trading within a fully working workshop.

As the Head of, you will drive the passion and success through the academy and will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership to the Construction Academy team as well as driving Learning Curve Groups strategy for our Academies Division, whilst ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our learners. You will support with the strategic growth plans for the provision, maximising all opportunities across all three sites.



DUTIES


Significantly contribute to our strategic development plan, which sets out the vision and key targets for the growth within our Academies Implement our strategic development plan to grow and develop the Academy provision in key sectors as a result of employer demand, LMI research and intelligence gathering Identify and implement the ongoing changes to delivery and employer relationships that will be required to support ASF Programmes, Study Programmes, Traineeships, 19+ AEB/Loans into the future Monitor and manage learner recruitment, success and progression in line with budgeted revenue requirements Ensure that all delivery is cost effective with monitoring and management of budgeted expenditure Responsibility for the daily/weekly/monthly managing, monitoring and reporting of KPI's and the development and implementation of procedures and associates documentation for the employer and learner journey for all Academy provision Liaise with the MIS team to produce reports including analysis of KPI's to be shared with teams as appropriate Develop and manage Academy staff including full time and associate assessors to ensure delivery of the provision is maintained to a high standard, with the provision fully staffed across all sites Effectively manage team performance and underperformance through robust and timely review Develop, review and revise curriculum delivery materials to support the delivery of current and new programmes Build strong networks with employers, Funding agencies, Schools, Local Councils, DWP, JCP, etc to identify and maximise on funding opportunities for Academies Contribute to research to identify new areas of employer need and new products and markets Contribute to the development of a marketing strategy to support the plans for growth in Academies delivery and income and to establish and maintain our reputation as an employer responsive provider Liaise with the other delivery teams regarding contract requirements and engagement activities for the delivery of funded provision Contribute to our positioning to be able to respond to the changes to the relevant funding models and develop fully costed delivery models where necessary Developing our Academies brand, promoting our offering to schools, parents, young people and businesses Work collaboratively with our Quality team to effectively monitor and manage all Academy provision, including performance management and audit compliance Effective development of the Academies Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), in collaboration with other associated teams, leading to Self-Assessment Report compilation for Academy delivery which contributes to the company's strategic and operational targets Implement and comply with the Company's Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Data Protection Act and Health and Safety Policies Ensure the maintenance of confidentiality and professionalism at all times Undertake professional development activities for staff across the Academies Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours
