We are looking for a

Head of Accounts & Payroll

to take full ownership of the financial side of the business and support the Managing Director with reporting, payroll and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day accounting: purchase/sales ledger, bank reconciliation, cashflow, month-end reports Process monthly payroll for office and field engineers Manage VAT, PAYE, pensions, and HMRC submissions Prepare management accounts and assist with year-end files for external accountants Control debtor payments and supplier invoices Provide financial insight and reporting to the Managing Director Maintain Sage accounting accuracy and support ongoing system improvements

Requirements

3+ years' experience in a senior finance or accounts role Experience running payroll and submitting returns Strong Sage Line 50 Sage Payroll experience Confident communicator and highly organized Able to work independently in a fast-paced, growing business
