We're looking for a driven and organised professional to join our leadership team as Head of Assurance. This is a maternity cover position, in which you will be responsible for overseeing the assurance practices across the whole organisation, ensuring that the organisation is compliant with all contracts delivered and legislative requirements.
The individual will line manage the Assurance Manager, Safeguarding Lead and Facilities and Health & Safety Manager.

Responsibilities
Oversight for Health & Safety within the organisation:
Line Management of the Health & Safety Manager, including but not limited to; supervision, appraisals and approving annual leave.
Ensuring that the H&S Manager and the Modern Slavery Services Team complete the accommodation standards as required.
Ensuring compliance with legislation.
Working with the H&S Manager in creating and implementing an annual strategy.
To be the main point of contact for the external Health & Safety support consultants that we have partnered with, and to manage the contract with them.
Lone Working - To be the organisations lead on lone working. This includes being the lead for Lone Working training and point of contact for the lone working solution contracts.
Oversight for Safeguarding within the organisation:
Line Management of the Safeguarding Manager, including but not limited to; supervision, appraisals and approving annual leave.
Ensuring compliance with legislation.
Working with the Manager in creating and implementing an annual strategy.
Assurance Responsibilities:
Line Management of the Assurance Manager, including but not limited to; supervision, appraisals and approving annual leave.
Ensuring that the Assurance Manager is completing the assurance practices that are outlined in the Quality Management System.
Support the Assurance Manager with KPI management of all services and the creation and continual improvement of the necessary systems that are in place to track and manage KPIs.
Working with the Manager in creating and implementing an annual strategy.
To work with all departments to implement assurance across the organisation and to achieve organisational strategy.
To work with service delivery departments to provide continual improvement of the delivery of support to our service users.
ISO - to be the main point of contact for ISOs with TSA. Ensure that all other ISO leads in Causeway meet the deadlines set by TSA. Ensure that ISO documents are reviewed in SMT meetings. To be the lead for ISO9001.
CQC - to be the main point of contact with CQC. And ensure that the modern slavery services are ready for inspection, assistance on inspections and to support with any recommendations.
Senior Management Team Responsibilities:
To have an active involvement in the SMT and contribute to the wider delivery of organisational strategy.
To have oversight of the Subject Matter Reporting system in the organisation. And to report quarterly to the Trustees on central reporting.
To work with departments to ensure Risk Management is adopted in all areas of the organisation.
To be the budget holder for the Assurance department and ensure that managers keep to the budgets.
To work with the contract holders to deliver their requests connected to service delivery.
To support the COO in their work as and when required or appropriate and to deliver on tasks set by them.
To be responsible contact for some organisational Policies and Procedures.
