We are seeking an experienced Head of Building Operations to provide strategic technical and operational leadership across our UK Retail team, supporting engineering operations on ISS's largest account.



This senior leadership role offers a fantastic opportunity to influence national performance, contribute to strategic decision-making, and shape the future of engineering service delivery.


Key responsibilities include managing the UK engineering risk profile in collaboration with our Global Risk and Corporate Operations teams, ensuring timely submission of Key Risk Control documentation and attestations.



You'll oversee the quality of service delivery by both ISS and our supply chain partners to meet KPIs and SLAs.



With accountability for reactive engineering spend and responsibility for leading the engineering supply chain review, you'll play a key role in aligning operations with budget expectations and developing national strategy.



You will also champion personal development and succession planning within the team, fostering a culture of growth and high performance.

Key Responsibilities


Lead all engineering activity across the client account, overseeing six direct reports Act as the senior technical authority, providing visible leadership and strategic direction Collaborate closely with the Account team and the central KAN Mobile Team Manage and build strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure quality delivery Drive a growth mindset across the contract, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation Work alongside Sustainability teams to align engineering with environmental objectives Engage confidently with the customer, building trust and technical credibility

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications


Strong engineering background with proven multi-site FM delivery experience Holds a relevant engineering qualification suitable for the FM industry (flexible on level) Established and confident technical leader able to hit the ground running Experience managing and developing large engineering teams Comfortable working at a senior level, influencing both internal and client stakeholders Commercially aware with a strategic mindset and strong delivery focus High technical credibility with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
