Day to day duties

Responsible for the Capital Allowances service line, shaping and driving the strategic direction of this specialist area across the UK Lead and develop a high-performing national team of CA specialists, currently around seven people, creating a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Act as the firm's go-to expert on all matters relating to Capital Allowances, providing technical guidance to both clients and internal stakeholders Work closely with national and regional tax leaders to integrate Capital Allowances into broader tax advisory services and client delivery Personally deliver complex advisory work, including site visits and claims across a wide range of sectors
Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, supporting business development activity and identifying opportunities for growth
Oversee quality assurance and technical sign-off on all Capital Allowances claims and reports Stay ahead of legislative developments and HMRC guidance to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of technical excellence in this field Represent the firm externally as a Capital Allowances specialist, contributing to thought leadership and industry engagement

What are we looking for?

RICS, CTA, ACA, ACCA or CA qualified (or equivalent), with significant post-qualified experience in Capital Allowances A proven track record in leading a Capital Allowances function or team, ideally within a professional services or consultancy environment Strong technical knowledge across both property and tax, with the ability to translate complex legislation into clear, commercially focused advice Experience of winning work, growing client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory services across multiple sectors Confidence operating at a national level, managing competing priorities and engaging effectively with stakeholders across the business A visible and credible leader who brings energy, commercial acumen and a collaborative mindset
