We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Head of Care to lead and oversee the delivery of exceptional care services across our care facility. Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and support care staff to deliver personalized, high-quality service user care aligned with best practices and regulatory standards
Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans that address residents' physical, emotional, and social needs
Oversee daily operations within care settings, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medications, assisting with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), and managing complex medical needs such as dementia
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained through regular cleaning routines and proper infection control procedures
Support residents' social engagement by organizing activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Manage documentation related to care plans, incident reports, medication logs, and patient observations with meticulous attention to detail
Train staff on specialized caregiving techniques including use of equipment, resident transfers, service user monitoring.
Foster an inclusive environment that respects residents' dignity and promotes independence while providing necessary support
Experience
Proven leadership experience in senior care facilities such as nursing homes
Extensive background working with people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory-related conditions like dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Hands-on experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid certifications
Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual needs while coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting equipment such as Hoists safely and effectively
Strong understanding of long-term care operations combined with excellent social work skills to support residents' holistic well-being
