An exciting opportunity to become part of the management team as Head of care at Broadmead is available. You will work in the office alongside the manager and deputy manager. You will be head of the care department and first point of call for the care team, Residents, health professionals and families. You need to be organised and be able to manage your work load. You must be able to understand the importance of medication management and be able to oversee this.
The Head of care role could be a current senior carer/ Team leader from a care home setting looking to progress. You would join a team focused on providing high quality care and have an opportunity to grow with the company and bring joy to the lives of our residents.
The working week is contracted at 40hrs per week. you will be scheduled to work Monday to Friday 8-4pm you maybe required to cover shifts out of these hours on occasions and this may include bank holidays, days or nights.

Purpose of the Role
To be part of the team and oversea the care staff with aims are to ensure that residents' needs are met on a daily basis and provide them with a safe and comfortable environment.
To help promote as much personal and physical independence and choice as possible in the activities of daily living undertaken by the residents within the Care Home.
To help maintain a stimulating and attractive environment for all residents
review / implement care plans and risk assessments
you will be working alongside your care team and monitoring all aspects of residents care needs and referring to the appropriate health professional.
You will lead meetings with health professionals and families to review and keep care plans up to date.
You will support with homes compliance by completing audits carrying out competencies and observations of practice on the care team ensuring compliance across the home.
Responsibilities and Duties
To assist in the direct care provision of all aspects of the service users needs, which may include amongst others, personal care, medication administration, mobility, continence promotion, assistance with feeding, updating documentation, etc.
Complete Audits and quality assurance measures are instructed by the manager
To attend appropriate training programmes/courses as available, which will further existing knowledge.
