Want a Costa Coffee from our in-house Costa Cafe in school?

Yes, that's right we have a Costa Cafe with one free coffee each week for every member of staff.

A great opportunity has become available at the academy to lead on the Careers provision in school. This is a non-teaching role in which you will focus on ensuring the academy provides a highly aspirational Careers programme from Year 7 through to 13. You will ensure that the school is meeting all Gatsby benchmarks and is compliant with the Baker Clause. In order to support, you will have an assistant for four days a week. The academy is looking for a personable, driven and highly ambitious individual to continue to ensure this is an area of excellence within the school. The programme aligns to our character programme and aspiration of students going on to the best jobs, universities, apprenticeships and colleges.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in an education setting and a minimum of 2 years' experience of working in an administrative role. Educated to at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and holding or working towards a NVQ L6 Diploma in Advice and Guidance, you will be an excellent communicator, able build positive professional relationships with adults and students and be committed to service quality and continuous improvement.

Northampton Academy is part of United Learning, a unique group of independent and state academies working together to achieve the best in everyone. Our vision is to provide excellent education, so that all young people are able to make a success of their lives and, if we are to realise this vision, we need to make sure we attract, develop and reward the key ingredient - high quality staff such as you.

Northampton Academy is committed to equal opportunities and to the protection and safety of all students and adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share these commitments. The post will be subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure.

The successful candidate will fully embrace our values of Respect, Determination, Ambition, Tolerance and Integrity, and will have a working knowledge of how these will apply within a Secondary Academy context and within the role itself.
