About The Role
Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis and Commercial Finance team of 3 direct reports, focussing on monthly reporting and commercial finance efforts for Boldyn UK&I. The team has a monthly rhythm of Group and shareholder reporting + financial analysis into the business to drive performance and decision making. On top of this, the team leads the commercial modelling to support our business growth through development of financial business cases aligned with our strategic ambition and financial principles.
What You'll Be DoingLead the FP&A and Commercial Finance team, developing a financial modelling, reporting and analysis capability that can deliver on business needs. Provide accurate and timely financial planning, management reporting and financial analysis.
Lead the monthly business reporting of P&L, cash flow and balance sheet results (review actuals, analyse key drivers, identify potential issues, compare to budget/ forecast) and the quarterly compliance reporting
Lead monthly P&L, cash flow and working capital forecasting processes.
Lead the annual budgeting process, delivering in line with Group timelines and requirements. This involves leading the Finance team and encouraging business partnering, pushing business line managers to drive growth and cost efficiency and owning the consolidation of all inputs into the overall budget.
Oversee the financial modelling and analysis for the Long-term Plan (key drivers, value creation, main challenges and risks); this involves liaison with internal stake holders to review and assess key assumptions and drivers, their impact on shareholder distributions and value and key ratios
Lead on financial analysis for new projects and commercial opportunities, including NPV and project analysis, pricing reviews and manage the collation of inputs from Operations, Commercial, pre-sales, etc.
Identify improvements and efficiencies and implement them into processes to enhance accuracy and/or facilitate reporting and financial analysis
Assist in the preparation of Board papers by providing accurate financial inputs and robust financial analysis
Contribute to the Strategy and Business Support team as required in high value at stake projects
Contribute to a variety of ad hoc projects, e.g. NPV/IRR calculations, assessment of capital structure, refinance activities, etc.
Identify and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and/or facilitate budgeting, planning, reporting and financial analysis
What You'll BringProven Accounting experience, with knowledge of practices, standards, systems and processes
Knowledge of financial terms and principles and IFRS
Financial Modelling
Experience within public accounting firm with commercial experience ideally within the Construction (or similar) industry.
Analytical & quantitative skills, attention to detail/accuracy, problem solving skills.
Microsoft Office Suite - in Excel
Management experience
Min. 8 years' finance experience
Professional accounting accreditation
