Job Description

Role Summary


The Head of Commercial will lead ATS UK & IE's commercial strategy, driving revenue through new business acquisition, account expansion and client retention. This role will shape our go-to-market approach, build a high-performing sales function and ensure ATS UK & IE is positioned as the partner of choice for digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities



Strategy Development:



Creating and implementing commercial strategies that align with the ATS's business goals to promote growth, especially within the engineered software market.

Market & Opportunity Analysis:



Conducting market research to understand industry trends, identify new business opportunities, and assess competitive threats.

Revenue & Profitability Management.



Collaborate with senior leadership to set commercial targets, monitor key performance indicators and develop strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.

Client & Stakeholder Management:



Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and foster new business. Corporate client development and cross function/geographic region alignment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:



Working closely with marketing, sales, finance, and engineering teams to ensure commercial activities support broader business objectives.

Sales & Marketing Oversight:



Guiding efforts in sales operations, marketing campaigns, and customer acquisition to drive sales growth.

Contract Management:



Collaborate with senior leadership in overseeing commercial negotiations, drafting contracts and ensuring that said contracts are structured to benefit ATS - manage commercial risks. Proposal and quote development.

Risk Management:



Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.

Performance Monitoring:



Tracking commercial performance, analysing data and reporting key metrics to senior management.

Skills



Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within industrial automation, digital transformation, or wider technology solutions. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and Industry 4.0 technologies. Track record of developing sales strategies that deliver sustainable growth. Exceptional leadership and people management skills. Commercial acumen with the ability to translate customer challenges into business opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Analytical mindset with experience managing forecasts, KPIs, and CRM systems.

Pay: Up to 95,000.00 per year
