A new opportunity for a Head of Communications and Campaigns to join a leading women\'s helathcare charity.

  • Lead on the development and delivery of a communications and marketing strategy, working closely with the CEO and managing the communications team to:
o raise the charity\'s profile;
o increase support, influence and participation in the charity\'s activities, including research, education, campaigns and events. * Lead and deliver communications plans to support the organisational strategy and individual projects, putting in place clear processes for integration with the other teams and measurement of agreed KPIs.
  • Lead, develop and implement compelling, integrated multi-channel campaigns and policy to support projects, influencing and engagement aims among key target audiences.
  • Work in partnership with the Heads of Fundraising to develop and deliver a fundraising communications approach that is fully integrated with the fundraising strategy and with the broader organisational communications strategy.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, such as government, policy makers, health providers, the media, and other charities. Representing the charity at high level meetings with key organisations
  • Lead the management of the WoW website to maximise communication, engagement and KPIs. Lead on the social media strategy and delivery
  • Oversee the press office function to ensure it provides strong, professional and timely media relations and responses and has appropriate media monitoring services in place.
  • Advise the CEO, Trustees and SMT on reputational issues including those emerging in the media. Develop an issues and crisis management preparedness plan.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of the Ambassador programme in partnership with the CEO and Head of Philanthropy, engaging with supporters to build valuable and lasting relationships that support charity objectives
  • Managing the Communications Manager and Digital officer to ensure information and data is collected, analysed and reviewed to ensure success of future communications and marketing plans.
  • Responsible for overseeing the appointment and management of external agencies and contractors for specific projects to supplement existing team capacity and expertise
  • Manage the recruitment, training and on-going development of team members.
  • Responsible for development of budgets and their management.
  • Carrying out from time to time and as directed, any other duties as required within reason in addition to the above.
