Job Description

We are looking to Strengthen our Information Technology/Data team with a Head of Data. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our data strategy from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Director of Technology & Systems, you will have the rare opportunity to design, build, and own the data function in its entirety. This is a "blank slate" role where your expertise will help define how we collect, manage, and leverage data to drive insights, improve decision-making, and create value across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy Development:

Design and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals and objectives. Maintain a business level roadmap of data improvements.

Infrastructure Design:

Build scalable and efficient data systems, including the architecture for data collection, storage, processing, and analysis.

Process Implementation:

Develop and embed robust data governance practices, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, functions and leadership, to identify data needs and opportunities aligned with continuous improvement/development principles.

Analytics Leadership:

Deliver actionable insights by designing analytics frameworks and building dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools.

Team Building:

As the function grows, recruit and develop a high-performing data team to support business objectives.

Technology Selection:

Evaluate and implement the most appropriate tools and technologies for the company's data requirements.
