Head of Development - Scotland
Anderston, Glasgow
83,874 - 88,288 per year plus Company Car or Car Buyout
35 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Head of Development to join our development department covering Scotland. Reporting into the Director of Development this role will offer the opportunity to provide strategic direction to support the on-going development and effective delivery of the Group's development services. The Head of Development - Scotland will play an instrumental role in advising and supporting Group Directors and Senior Managers, whilst contributing to the Development strategy, policy framework and investment planning. This is a great opportunity for an experienced development professional to be pivotal in contributing to the delivery of the Group's development strategy.
The role of Head of Development - Scotland will include:

• Leading the efficient procurement, delivery and management of development and remodeling programmes and projects
• Ensuring the delivery of high quality and value for money development programmes with agreed capital expenditure budgets through effective financial management to achieve timely completion of projects
• Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external customers and strategic partners
• Ensuring that development opportunities and projects meet required legislation, best practice and financial performance

Skills and experiences:

• An experienced Development professional with a proven track record of delivering large scale capital development projects in a social housing or similar environment
• Managing and coordinating consultant teams, procuring contractors and managing statutory authorities
• Previous experience of implementing strategy for a large, complex organisation
• Proven track record of people management and development
• Skilled at actively building and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and strategic partners
• Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential
