Job Title: Head of Divorce - Divorce Solicitor

Location: Middlesbrough

McGee McGee Agar Law - a fast-growing, dynamic law firm - is seeking an experienced and motivated Divorce Solicitor to head up our expanding Divorce Department.

Due to an increasing demand for divorce and family law services, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to take the lead in this growing area of the business.

The Role:

As Head of Divorce, you will play a key role in developing and managing a busy caseload of divorce and associated family law matters. You will lead with professionalism, empathy, and autonomy, and ensure a high standard of client care at every stage. This is a leadership opportunity with potential for real influence and career growth as the department continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and run your own caseload of divorce and related family matters.

Lead and grow the Divorce Department in line with client demand.

Deliver excellent client care with a sensitive, solution-focused approach.

Work collaboratively with other departments and senior leadership Support junior solicitors or legal assistants where applicable.

Requirements:

A qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience in divorce and family law.

Proven ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision.

Strong knowledge of matrimonial finance, child arrangements, and separation matters.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

A proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
