Location: Birmingham, Office-based

Contract: Full time, permanent contract (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: 70,000 depending on experience + bonus

Role Overview




We're hiring a Head of E-Commerce to lead the digital growth of our online sales channels. This senior role is responsible for developing and delivering our e-commerce strategy, driving revenue, enhancing the full end-to-end user journey, and launching new growth initiatives.


You'll work cross-functionally across product, PPC/SEO, UX, and performance teams to test, optimise, and scale activity while championing a seamless customer experience.

Note: This role does not own brand consistency (which sits with the Head of Brand & Content), and it does not directly manage customer service.




Reporting to the Board, this role is highly visible and offers the chance to shape how we trade online, convert customers, and scale profitably in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy to drive profitable sales growth Champion a best-in-class customer experience across the full user journey, including UX, checkout optimisation, and integrating customer feedback Identify and deliver new digital growth initiatives (e.g., loyalty programmes, affiliates, refer-a-friend, market expansion) Lead a culture of continuous improvement through A/B and multivariate testing Monitor e-commerce KPIs and performance metrics, using data to guide decisions Collaborate with PPC/SEO, finance, product, and supply chain to align digital activity with company goals Maintain e-commerce KPIs and performance metrics, using data to guide decisions Work with the UI/UX team to test and implement changes that improve usability, conversion, and retention Build and manage the e-commerce team: hiring, coaching, and setting performance goals

Skills & Experience



5+ years of senior-level e-commerce experience with a track record of driving revenue growth Degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred Experience managing an e-commerce P&L, setting commercial targets, and delivering against them Strong knowledge of UX, site optimisation, mobile commerce, and user testing Proficient in GA4 and confident using data to inform digital performance and strategy Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms Proven ability to lead and scale a high-performing digital team Strong cross-functional communication with product, tech, finance, and operations International e-commerce experience and localisation awareness plus Must be within commuting distance of Birmingham - this is an office-based role with hybrid flexibility
