About the role

Are you an experienced professional services leader with a passion for shaping the future of medical and biomedical education? The Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Head of Education Development to drive innovation and strategic growth across our education portfolio.



As a senior member of the Faculty Education Office, you will lead the Education Development Section, overseeing teams that support the early stages of the student journey and postgraduate education administration. Working closely with senior Faculty leadership, you will play a pivotal role in developing new programmes, implementing strategic change, and delivering business improvements that enhance our world-class education offering.


What you would be doing


---------------------------


In this varied and strategic role you will:


Work in collaboration with academic colleagues to identify and scope new initiatives, for example short courses, new programmes of study and/or business innovation. Provide market insight and develop robust business cases for innovative education opportunities. Identify and implement opportunities for business improvement. Work closely with the central Marketing, Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions Team to market and recruit to new and existing programmes of study. Draft annual planning round submissions and student number forecasting for the Faculty. Provide market insight and generate innovative, strategic opportunities. Lead the Education Development Team, ensuring strategic and operational objectives are met.

Someone with:


Significant experience in the higher education sector. A strong track record in business development, planning, and forecasting. Proven success in leading diverse teams. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills. Confidence in building business cases and driving change.
