Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary

Head of Mobile Engineering

to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our mobile applications across platforms. This role will oversee a team of talented engineers and collaborate with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver world-class mobile experiences to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

Define the mobile technology roadmap and long-term vision aligned with the company's goals. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing mobile engineering team. Drive best practices in coding, architecture, security, and performance across mobile platforms (iOS and Android).

Delivery & Execution

Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of all mobile applications. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software through agile methodologies. Partner with Product Management and Design to scope features and set technical direction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with backend and web teams to ensure seamless API integration and consistent user experience. Work with QA and DevOps to maintain app stability, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices. Serve as a mobile technology expert and advocate across the company.

Innovation & Growth

Stay current with industry trends and assess emerging technologies for future mobile strategy. Drive initiatives around mobile analytics, user feedback, and performance optimization.

Requirements:

Proven experience (8+ years) in mobile engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong technical expertise in native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) development. Experience managing teams of mobile engineers, ideally in a high-growth or consumer-facing company. Deep understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns (MVVM, MVI, etc.), and platform-specific guidelines. Track record of delivering and scaling complex mobile apps with millions of users. Excellent communication, people management, and strategic thinking skills. BS/MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native). Experience working in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and app store release management. Background in performance tuning, mobile analytics, and A/B testing.
