Head Of Expressive Arts

Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, United Kingdom

Job Description

Description:
This is your chance to shape the creative heartbeat of our school. We are seeking a leader with presence, passion and vision to place drama, music, art and creative media at the heart of school life and inspire every pupil.
Thank you for expressing an interest in the Head of Expressive Arts post at Ysgol Bro Taf - the new 3-16 school based in Pontypridd. We opened our doors in September 2024 following an 18.5 million investment in 21st Century learning facilities that reflect our commitment to excellence. Nearly a year on, these state-of-the-art spaces are being brought to life by a dedicated and innovative team, and they continue to serve as the foundation for our ambition and high-quality provision for the community we serve.
We are building something exceptional - a school with a clear vision, a strong sense of purpose, and a vibrant all-through learning community. The opportunity to shape a new curriculum and culture, to innovate, and to build lasting impact continues to inspire all of us here. I'm looking for colleagues who share this energy and ambition to join us on the next phase of our journey.
At Ysgol Bro Taf, we believe there is brilliance in every child. We are committed to offering rich, diverse learning experiences both within and beyond the classroom. Creating a happy, safe, and inclusive environment - one where all pupils feel supported and known - is central to everything we do.
Our staff are at the heart of our success. They are empowered to think creatively, to challenge established norms, and to do things differently in pursuit of what's best for our pupils. In return, Ysgol Bro Taf is an exciting place to work - where every member of staff is valued, achievements are celebrated, and professional growth is actively supported.
We are committed to collaboration, both within the school and across the wider education community. We actively seek out opportunities to learn from others and to share our own practice. High-quality professional learning is a cornerstone of our work, and we invest in our staff to ensure they can thrive and grow alongside our pupils.
Should you wish to discuss any aspect of this post further, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We look forward to receiving your application.
