Working hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 07:25 - 15:55 & Friday 07:30 - 13:30 - This is a full time office based vacancy.
Responsibilities
Set personal high standards as example to teams and ensure good personal knowledge of quality, health, safety and production operating systems.
Act as project support on welding related activities including assessment of weld process requirements and review client requirements. when required.
Organise with Production Supervisor required delivery dates and plan operation to achieve said dates.
Ensure product quality is to customer requirements and that all contract production requirements are achieved and signed off in line with ECS Quality Systems.
Oversee maintenance team to ensure that equipment is fit for purpose and safe to use in line with company procedures.
Provide accurate feedback and communication to internal and external customers and attend meetings as required.
Manage stock and Goods in & Out Team, ensuring quality grades are recorded correctly and associated company procedures completed.
Provide effective management of the manufacturing team to maximise production within the department.
Ensure production meetings take place and actions from the meeting are completed.
Develop and update KPI's and re-evaluate /challenge where necessary.
Instil and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement.
Ensure collaboration and communication between fabrication and the rest of the business is effective.
Become an active member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Own BS 3834 and EN 1090 audits
Skills & Experience
Strong technical understanding of welding methodologies and procedures.
At least 2 years' experience of managing a team
Good commercial skills and ability to make sound decisions on matters of financial value.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels.
Solution focused
Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels internally and externally.
Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically.
Ability to introduce new ideas and drive improvements with scope of the role
Recognises the importance of a team ethos
