About the Role
As Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations, reporting, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the financial health of Premier Travel Group is maintained and strengthened as we continue to grow. You will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team, providing insights and strategic guidance to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Reporting
Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the Board.
Provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions and business growth.
Ensure statutory reporting is timely, accurate, and compliant with accounting standards.
Manage the relationship with external auditors.
Treasury, Cash Flow & Banking
Oversee cash flow management, banking, borrowing arrangements, and foreign currency hedging.
Ensure robust financial controls are in place to protect the business.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance Manager and broader finance team.
Review and enhance financial systems, processes, and reporting for efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure payroll and all accounting activities comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Process Improvement & Commercial Support
Identify areas for process improvement, cost efficiency, and automation.
Provide commercial insight and analysis to support inter-departmental decisions.
Work closely with senior leadership to align financial strategy with business objectives.
About You
This role is ideal for a senior finance professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and delivering commercial insight in a hands-on, fast-paced workplace where every contribution counts. You will be confident working autonomously, building relationships at all levels, and driving business performance.
Essential Requirements:
Proven track record (3+ years preferred) in a senior finance role such as Head of Finance.
CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification; degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage 200).
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Commercially aware, proactive, and results-driven.
Desirable:
Experience in the Travel industry, familiar with CAA, ABTA, and ATOL.

What are the hours for the role?
We're looking for someone who can offer flexibility in their working hours due to the seniority and nature of this position. The core hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, with three days in the office and two days working from home. However, due to the responsibilities of the role, there may be occasions where additional hours are required.
