Head Of Finance Citizens Advice Scotland

Edinburgh - Glasgow, United Kingdom

Job Description

About the job:

The Citizens Advice network in Scotland is the largest independent advice service in the country. Citizens Advice Scotland is a charity within this network - we act as a national organisation supporting and representing the service as a whole and the interests of citizens. At the heart of the network there are 59 individual citizens advice bureau across Scotland, all operating as independent charities in their own right, which focus on providing support and advice directly to clients. Each of these organisations is a member of Citizens Advice Scotland. We believe that every citizen should have access to free, impartial and confidential advice that helps them make informed decisions, whenever they need it and however, they choose to access it.

Our vision is for a Fairer Scotland where everyone has the advice and information they need to realise their rights, and that the barriers to accessing those rights are effectively challenged.

Citizens Advice Scotland is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking senior leader to become our new Head of Finance. This role will drive forward our ambitious financial strategy and help us to ensure that we have the funding we need to continue to deliver vital local services to bureaux in communities across Scotland.

As Scotland\'s largest advice provider, we support our network to deliver services to people across Scotland. Last year we helped nearly 180,000 people and we want to help even more people this year. That\'s where you come in. The new Head of Finance will help us make the right financial decisions to navigate the challenging financial landscape that charities face at this time and maximise the support that Citizens Advice Scotland can provide to bureaux and citizens across Scotland. Our bureaux and clients need our help more than ever and you will play a critical role in ensuring that CAS can meet that demand through effective financial management and developing new and innovate approaches to ensuring financial stability.

If this sounds like a challenge that you want to help us deliver against then we want to hear from you.

This role offers you the opportunity to work at the heart of supporting Scotland\'s largest independent advice network and to make an invaluable contribution to citizen\'s lives.
