Head of Finance.

We can now offer the opportunity for a

Head of Finance

to join our senior management team, based at our head offices in Hereford.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including purchase and sales ledgers, cash flow, payroll functions, VAT, banking, inter-company transfers, accruals and CIS. Delivering accurate month-end and year-end reporting, management accounts, and financial analysis. Managing compliance with HMRC and Companies House. Provide financial due diligence and support for strategic projects, tenders and partnerships. Drive transformation within the finance team, ensuring data is meaningful, accurate, accessible and efficient. Ensure robust internal controls and policies are in place. Lead year end audit processes with our external auditors. Deliver cost control initiatives and improve operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement within the finance team.

The ideal candidate will have:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualifications (or equivalent). At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance with 2 of those years in a senior finance role. Previous work history in the construction industry, including handling CIS returns. Strong understanding of using Sage Accounts Experience in developing staff. The ability to be hands on in the role. Excellent Communication skills. Ability to use own initiative.

Package:

Salary - 55,000 - 65,000 per annum. (Depending on skills and experience) 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays. Enhanced sick pay scheme. Company Pension.
