Job Description

Corkills Motor Group are looking to recruit a Head of Finance/Finance Controller to head up the Finance team. Corkills Group is a 3 site dealer group business with the potential to expand in the future The job holder will be a prominent part of the Senior Management team and lead the accounts and sales administration teams ensuring all processes and procedures are adhered to in all they do.

Mainly based at our Wigan VW site additional travel will be required to visit our Southport VW and Northwich Hyundai sites, remote working is also possible on an ad hoc/occasional basis.

THE ROLE

Experience of managing a financial function, commercially astute and technically strong

Experience of working within an Owner Managed SME preferably in the Retail Motor Trade

Experience of producing monthly management accounts and forecasts

Financial policy implementation regarding capital debt, debt, taxation, pension and insurance management

Ensure robust systems and compliance for audit purposes

Experience of ensuring regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met

Experience of management of cash and working capital

THE PERSON

An experienced leader of a finance department

Qualified member of an accountancy body with practical experience in the field (CIMA, ACMA,ACWA) is preferred but part qualified and experienced considered

Commercially astute with 'operational empathy'

. Able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels and be comfortable with external stakeholders

Experience managing a team

Ability to use a PC with MS packages including DMS systems

Strong IT skills and high-level Excel and modelling experience

Attention to detail is a must

Experience in a fast-paced busy finance/admin team

Experience of planning and delivery of projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-65,000.00 per year
