DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds is a contemporary hotel combining a Georgian Manor House with modern architecture, located only 2 miles from central Cheltenham and just 20 minutes away from the Cotswolds. The hotel had its 148 bedrooms refurbished in the last 12 months with air conditioning added as well as an upgrade of the wi-fi. Our Health Club also underwent a transformation with brand new gym and improvements to the pool, sauna and spa bath.
The food and beverage offering includes 9 meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 300, a 120-cover restaurant for breakfast and 120-cover for evening meals, lounge, bar and terrace which is about to be re-branded as 'Herberts'.
What's involved?
Lead and coach your team, overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets, including our new restaurant and bar, 'Herberts'.
Drive revenue through management of commercial initiatives supported by your leadership team.
Have a firm grip on the P&L and take ownership over the costs of your business, always striving to find efficient solutions whilst keeping the quality high and the experience top notch.
Work closely with the Head Chef on menu development and to ensure food quality and consistency is always where it should be.
Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do. You will lead from the front and your presence in the hotel will be felt by the team and guests alike.
Ensure all operating standards are adhered to within the departments, achieving required hygiene, health and safety measurements (e.g. EHO and internal audit scores).
Manage and support the personal development of team members to support progression and succession planning.
What we're looking for
A track record of leading large teams in restaurants, kitchens and bars; you're a natural at building teams, inspiring trust and developing people
3+ years' experience in a similar food and beverage management/head of role in a busy hospitality operation.
Multi departmental budgeting and forecasting experience; a clear understanding of the financial expectations of a successful hotel food and beverage business
An ability to manage the budget on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. You'll be expected to report results with a solid understanding of the ongoing trends of the business.
Exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, juggling many things at once, but always dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
