We're partnering with a leading not-for-profit organisation to recruit a

Head of FP&A

- a newly created and strategically important role designed to strengthen financial insight, planning, and performance across the group.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an opportunity for an ambitious and values-driven leader to shape how financial information drives decision-making, ensuring the organisation remains robust, responsive, and focused on its mission to support communities and transform lives.

OPPORTUNITY



As

Head of FP&A

, you'll play a key leadership role within finance, responsible for financial planning, performance management, and strategic insight across the organisation, with a particular focus on its regulated housing arm. You'll lead the design and delivery of high-quality management information, forecasting, and KPI reporting - ensuring senior leaders and operational teams are equipped with the clarity they need to make confident, informed decisions.

This role will also lead on the integration of a new finance system, shaping how technology enables efficiency, data-driven insight, and improved financial control across the group.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting across the organisation Partnering with operational and housing teams to deliver financial insight and challenge Overseeing monthly management accounts, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis Leading budgeting and long-term financial planning cycles Providing strategic input and analysis to support decision-making by senior leadership and the Board Driving continuous improvement in systems, reporting, and processes Leading on the successful integration of a new finance system Managing and developing a small FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance

PERSON



We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong analytical and leadership skills, and a passion for combining financial excellence with social purpose.

You will bring:

Significant experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering A track record of driving insight, performance, and financial accountability Strong commercial and strategic thinking skills Excellent communication - able to convey complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders Experience leading system or process improvement initiatives A collaborative, empathetic leadership style aligned with the values of a purpose-led organisation
Experience within the housing, not-for-profit, or public services sectors would be an advantage but is not essential.

OFFER



Salary up to 60,000 depending on experience Hybrid working with flexibility (East Midlands base) 27 days annual leave + bank holidays Additional benefits including: enhanced pension, health cash plan, employee wellbeing support, counselling and GP access.
