Head of Geography

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Geography to join our wonderful department. We are looking for an aspirational and committed professional who will work closely with the Senior Leadership team in raising attainment and increasing the progress in Geography across Key Stages 3 to 4. You will be a good team player with the ability to form successful working partnerships with staff and motivate them to meet the department's shared vision. Key Duties

To inspire, lead, manage and develop the teaching staff within the department

To ensure the excellent delivery of the Geography curriculum

To be accountable for raising standards of pupil achievement within the department and to monitor and support pupil progress

To develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to all students

To set high expectations for all pupils, to deepen their knowledge and understanding and to maximise their achievement.

To assess pupils' work systematically and use the results to inform future planning, teaching, and curricular development.

To prepare pupils for academic success and inspire a love of learning that goes beyond examinations.

AST 1-12 31,756-49,544 dependent on experience plus 5,646 Head of Department Allowance
