Job purpose:

The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for orchestrating SC activities worldwide to guarantee reliable and secure delivery of medicines and vaccines while optimizing cost and inventory. To deliver our SC ambition and enable profitable growth, focus is required at planning level to reinforce, integrate & automate planning processes, implement new capabilities and establish a strong SC planning community across the supply chain.


In this context, the role of the

Head of Global Supply Planning

is to:


Responsible for

taking decisions

that impact final demand and supply plans to optimize our E2E network Lead a

community of planners

and develop an empowered, bold, trusted and highly capable planning organization Drive the SC planning transformation to

reinforce, integrate & automate planning processes

and implement

new capabilities

Develop and deliver on the

strategic roadmap

and priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders across the entire supply chain like Manufacturing sites, QA, Procurement, Finance, Commercial Operations to deliver overall Supply Chain targets and ambition Drive the integration across all planning therapy areas into the formation of

One Integrated Global Planning Organization

Deliver the optimal

master plans

(0-3 years) for manufacturing sites and CMOs that meets demand (including new product introduction and life cycle changes), cuts lead times and optimizes margins Translate supply chain strategies into priorities for planning to ensure break through targets are delivered (service, lead times, inventory, cost to serve, SKU profitability) Lead and optimize the

governance process to enable timely decision making. Collaborate with global process owners and other stakeholders like Finance and Commercial to enable a faster and improved Core Commercial Cycle (IBP)

Key responsibiltities:

a highly talented and diverse team (90+) of supply chain planning professionals. Set ambitious performance goals and develop an integrated capability development program to build a world class high performing organization spread across multiple geographies Drive the planning process re-design and lead an

integrated business planning

process maturity journey across supply, finance and commercial partners as part of Supply Chain Transformation Program Develop and build a

continuous improvement

and collaborative mindset within the planning community to improve process effectiveness and efficiency and raise the bar on business delivery as benchmarked with our best-in-class peers Lead the

Annual Planning and Budgeting process

in collaboration with Finance and Commercial partners ensuring an optimal and balanced E2E demand and supply plan is in place across the entire internal & external network over the 36-month planning horizon Ensure that

scenarios

and impact (including financials) over the enterprise level are used to drive key

planning decisions

and robust data and analytics are used to drive faster and informed decision making. Ensure that

supply risks

are identified

proactively

to drive

resolution

for all products through the standard governance and escalation forums Accountable for the

business performance

for entire portfolio, from the demand signal to delivery to all global markets and direct customers, putting effective root cause analysis in place for non-adherence and appropriate corrective actions to continuously improve performance

KPI

that encompass service, cost and cash to serve and flow across the supply chain Responsible for flawless launch of an extensive N

ew Product Introduction

, pipeline and life cycle programs including acquisitions, divestments and discontinuations. Ensuring seamless collaboration with key stakeholders like network strategy, manufacturing, regional supply, finance and commercial teams. Accountable for effective transition from long range planning (4-10 years) to

operational

planning horizons (0-3 years)

Basic Qualifications:

University degree (Master) in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations/ Engineering At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, related operational roles and Leadership of large and complex organizations In-depth and hand-on knowledge of Supply Chain Planning systems and processes Demonstrated ability to implement a vision, provide direction, lead an organization through change and deliver tangible business value. Demonstrated ability to attract and develop top talent Demonstrated ability to lead by influence, engage and partner with key stakeholders and build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and functions Demonstrated understanding of industry and technology trends and track record of leading complex business and technology transformation A strong understanding of corporate strategy and business acumen. Ability to understand and articulate business-related issues, financial performance and challenge business assumptions Demonstrated ability of effective communication and influencing skills both horizontally and vertically across the organization High levels of resilience, personal energy and ability to energize and engage others Takes initiative and executes independently with accountability and ambition. Demonstrates ability to drive effective prioritization and focus on critical issues with maximum impact Fluency in English is a must
