We are looking for a Head of Health, Safety and Security to join our team. The role is permanent and full time, working 36 hours per week from home/hybrid or an appropriate site or office.

This is a great opportunity for a health, safety and security professional to lead the team to ensure a safe and secure environment for our staff, volunteers, visitors, contractors and collections at stunning historic visitor attractions, such as Stonehenge and Dover Castle, as well as at our precious collection stores, unique holiday cottages and residential properties.
As Head of Health, Safety and Security, you will work proactively with colleagues to promote a positive safety culture and to establish and maintain a programme of continual improvement and efficiencies.
You will lead the team to support the charity's objectives - including safe and secure site operations and events, projects, maintenance, conservation work, procurement and other commercial/curatorial/creative initiatives. You will oversee the Health, Safety and Security policy and related systems and arrangements e.g. generic risk assessments, accident reporting procedures, standards and guidance, ensuring they are reasonably practicable, effective, efficient and in line with the latest legislation and sector best practice.
To be considered for the Head of Health, Safety and Security, you'll need:
A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and to be a Chartered (or above) Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (or equivalent)
Experience of leading a team to oversee Health, Safety and Security at a national/corporate level, ideally in an organisation with public access
Experience of writing Fire Risk Assessments or managing a team that writes them
Experience of crime prevention, counter terrorism and security management
Experience of writing standards and guidance
