HMP Huntercombe is a male foreign national prison with a capacity for 480 inmates. We are recruiting for a Head of Healthcare to support and manage a team of approx 20. We are looking for someone with excellent people and leadership experience and able to manage financials.
Hours
Monday - Friday
37.5 hours per week
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 62,900per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Head of Healthcare, your responsibilities will vary. You will Provide pro-active management of the healthcare services on site.
This will include maintaining the strategic direction of the service and delivering agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS England.
You will be responsible for delivering a highly functional clinical service, within the budget, with support from the finance business partner and regional manager.
You will also form part of the wider prison senior leadership team, working with other key stakeholders to ensure that the contract becomes highly functional, and healthcare services become fully embedded with the prison a whole.
You will ensure agreed standards are achieved by leading, developing and motivating your team ensuring they receive appropriate supervision and performance appraisal.
You will be the CQC registered manager and implement internal and external policies and procedures, particularly those with statutory implications.

Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification
