Head Of Housekeeping
Job Description
Field House is a medium sized residential care home catering for up to 55 residents in the village of Eye on the outskirts of Peterborough. Your role as Head of Housekeeping will be to lead our housekeeping team and ensure our home remains cleaned to a consistently high standard, providing a welcoming, healthy and safe environment.
This is a key leadership position responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, infection control, and presentation throughout the home. You'll oversee the day?to?day running of the housekeeping service, manage and support your team, and work closely with our other departments to uphold our commitment to exceptional care.
Hours of work are 30 hours a week over a 5 day week, working every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading, motivating, and developing the housekeeping team Ensuring all areas of the home are clean, safe, and well?presented Managing rotas, stock levels, and ordering supplies Upholding infection prevention and control standards Conducting audits and implementing improvements where needed Working collaboratively with care, maintenance, and management teams Supporting a positive, respectful, and resident?centred culture
What We're Looking For:
Experience in housekeeping leadership, ideally within a care, hospitality, or healthcare setting Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards Good time management and attention to detail Friendly, respectful, and team-oriented attitude Willingness to learn and follow procedures

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
An understanding of English language.
The ability to work well within a team but also be able to work on own initiative.
The ability to commute to Eye, Peterborough.
