We bake our incredible biscuits at eight bakeries across the UK, located at Isle of Arran, Livingston, Blackpool, Llantarnam, Edinburgh, Kirkham, Batley & Dorset and our HQ in St Albans. About the Role

We have an opportunity to join FBC as

Head of Industrial Quality

. This role leads Food Quality and Safety across Operations, including Supply Chain and Third-Party Manufacturers. You'll manage the FSQ teams, ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards, and drive continuous improvement in quality processes. Collaboration with R&D, Production, and Supply Chain is key to delivering safe, consistent products. You'll also lead the Product Incident Management process and contribute as a member of the Technical Leadership Team.

Food Safety & Quality Systems

Define and implement group FSQ policies, GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards across FBC UK. Cascade processes and procedures across the network, ensuring alignment with external guidelines. Lead internal and external monitoring to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Drive FSQ culture programs and share best practices across sites. Manage quality KPIs, product assessments, and incident reporting with effective action plans.

Hygiene

Ensure hygiene systems and standards are in place across all UK bakeries. Collaborate with Operations and Planning to integrate cleaning protocols into production cycles. Oversee pest control activities and provider management. Lead hygiene culture initiatives and ensure compliance with legislation and customer codes. Ensure all employees receive appropriate hygiene training.

Quality Assurance

Ensure all facilities meet quality standards and support employee training. Oversee quality controls for raw materials, packaging, and in-process products. Ensure effective monitoring and control from production to logistics handover. Lead and support Site Technical Managers in delivering quality objectives.

Who we are looking for

Degree in Food Science or a related discipline HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 certified Qualified Lead Auditor Proven experience leading multi-site operations in the food FMCG sector Solid track record working with major UK retailers, including M&S and Tesco Strong influencing and negotiating skills at all levels
