Job Title: Head of Infrastructure Projects and Contracts



Salary:

66,336 - 70,276



35 Hours per Week



Location: Hybrid - Wildwood, Worcester and Home

The Role:




We're looking for an experienced professional from a civil engineering, construction, or project management background to lead the planning, delivery, and performance of a wide-ranging infrastructure portfolio. From new rail stations and highways to schools and sustainable transport, your work will help shape communities and support economic growth across the county.

What You'll Be Doing:




You'll lead a multidisciplinary team overseeing the successful delivery of major and minor capital projects, managing everything from strategy to execution. Your key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership:

Drive long-term planning for infrastructure delivery and manage a high-performing team of project and contract professionals.

Project Delivery:

Oversee a diverse programme of capital projects, ensuring quality, governance, and cost control.

Supplier & Contract Management:

Procure and manage key infrastructure contracts, ensuring performance and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Be a trusted advisor and spokesperson, building strong relationships across the council and beyond.

Financial Oversight:

Manage multi-million-pound budgets, with clear KPIs and performance tracking.
