Creative Car Park (CCP) provides bespoke parking management services to SME businesses, larger corporate entities and not for profit organisations, including the NHS, with onsite parking facilities, helping them to drive customer footfall and maximise the value, convenience, and security of those parking areas.

CCP is undergoing rapid but strategically focused transformation as it develops and adapts to a changing commercial and regulatory environment, to deliver on its ambition to grow ahead of market. As part of that transformation, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Collections to lead the internal collections team, including an in house small claims/litigation department, and manage external 3rd party debt resolution processes, maximising revenue and driving efficiencies at every stage of the collections process.

Purpose of Role:



As Head of Legal and Compliance, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive legal guidance and support to ensure our compliance with regulations and to assist in negotiating contracts that align with our strategic business objectives. Your expertise will be essential in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders while safeguarding the company's interest You will ensure that everything, we do from our operations to our partnerships meets the highest standards of compliance, governance and integrity. You will lead on tender and contract management supporting our continued growth by helping us win new business.

Key Responsibilities

:

Compliance & Regulation



Ensure CCP complies with all relevant UK laws and regulations, including GDPR, health and safety, and data protection.

Oversee adherence to the BPA Code of Practice, DVLA KADOE Service, and ICO Codes of Practice.

Develop and maintain clear compliance processes across all group companies.

Health & Safety



Act as the company's lead health and safety officer, ensuring all staff work in a safe and supportive environment.

Maintain and renew key certifications, including Safe Contractor accreditation.

Tender & Contract Management



Lead the preparation, submission, and management of tenders for public and private sector opportunities.

Ensure all tenders are compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with CCP's strategic goals.

Oversee contract renewals and ongoing supplier compliance.

ESG & Sustainability



Coordinate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting to investors and partners.

Work closely with external consultants on CCP's

Net Zero pathway

, helping us achieve our sustainability ambitions.

Governance & Communications



Support the CFO and leadership team with clear, concise reporting on compliance and risk.

Manage responses to complaints, information requests (including FOI and SARs), and communications from external bodies, MPs, and media.

Develop and deliver staff training on compliance, data protection, and health and safety.

Contract Advisory



Provide legal advice to Directors, Management, and staff regarding contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Assist the Sales Department by identifying and mitigating risks associated with client contracts.

Offer counsel on risks and potential liabilities in third-party supplier contracts.

Complaint Management



Assist in formulating appropriate responses to complaints and inquiries, including Right of Access requests, FOI requests, and communications from authorities, NGOs, MPs, and the media.

Training and Development



Develop and deliver training sessions and updates for staff on legal issues that impact the business, including health and safety matters.

Head of Legal Responsibilities



Oversee all compliance matters related to the Company and its affiliates, including data protection, GDPR, health and safety, and other industry-specific compliance issues.

Board Reporting:



Clearly and precisely report all pertinent legal issues affecting the Company to the Board.

Industry Engagement



Actively participate in industry events and training, building a network of contacts to promote the Company as a leader in code compliance. Engage with external regulatory stakeholders, lobby groups, and legislators to advocate for favourable outcomes in the development of statutory parking codes and other legislative changes.

Legal Advisory



Provide legal counsel on various aspects of car park management and operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Dispute Resolution

:

Assist in resolving legal disputes and issues as they arise.

Policy Development



Collaborate with internal teams to create policies and procedures that mitigate legal risks.

Industry Monitoring



Stay informed on industry trends and legislative changes that could impact the company.

Requirements



Qualified lawyer with relevant legal experience, preferably in commercial law. Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, governance, or tender management. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
