A Day in the Life



As the Head of Market Insight, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of L'Oreal UK & Ireland. Reporting to the CMI Director, you will lead a team of six talented professionals to analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscapes. Your insights will directly influence decision-making across all divisions: Consumer Products, Luxe, Active Cosmetics, and Professional Products.



Your key responsibilities will include:



Market Data Analysis:

Leverage distributor and consumer panels to assess performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable insights.



Strategic Recommendations:

Translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations for operational teams and senior management.



Business Partnering:

Act as a trusted advisor to marketing, sales, e-commerce, and media teams, delivering tailored insights to drive performance.



Market Forecasting:

Develop robust forecasts for categories, channels, and competition to support the 3-year plan and financial cycles.



Data Transformation:

Lead data management and analytics projects, optimizing processes and automating analyses in collaboration with IT teams.



You will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Country General Manager, Management Committee, and cross-functional teams, while managing relationships with market data providers such as Nielsen, Circana, and Kantar.



We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader with a passion for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have:



Experience:

A strong background in market research or marketing data analysis, ideally within the UK or internationally.



Expertise:

Strong business analytics, marketing acumen, and a deep understanding of brand and product strategy.



Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to lead, inspire, and unite cross-functional teams.



Technical Proficiency:

Experience in data management, dashboarding, and emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.



Communication Skills:

Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
