An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strategic and creative Head of Marketing to join the Layrd Group, a dynamic and expanding design company based in Cambridge.

The Layrd Group is a forward-thinking collective comprising three distinct brands: Layrd Design, a commercial interior design studio with a focus on creating inspiring, sustainable spaces; Designers Touch; and Studio Layrd. We are seeking a Head of Marketing to spearhead the marketing efforts for the entire group, driving brand awareness and growth.

This is a senior, full-time position offering a blend of in-studio collaboration and remote work. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy across all three brands. You will lead a talented team, with a Digital Marketing Assistant and an Event Manager reporting directly to you.

A typical week might include:

Developing and implementing a cohesive, group-level marketing strategy that supports the business objectives of Layrd Design, Designers Touch, and Studio Layrd. Leading and mentoring the marketing team, including a Digital Marketing Assistant and an Event Manager, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of all marketing activities. Overseeing all digital marketing channels, including websites, social media, and email campaigns, to ensure a strong and consistent online presence for each brand. Driving the content strategy for the group, ensuring the creation of compelling materials that resonate with our diverse B2B audiences. Collaborating with the design and project teams to translate our work into powerful marketing stories and case studies. Taking ownership of the marketing budget and reporting on key metrics to the CEO and Founder. Identifying and exploring new marketing opportunities to elevate the profile of the Layrd Group and its constituent companies. Representing the Layrd Group at industry events and networking opportunities.

We're looking for someone who is:

A Strategic Marketing Leader:

You have significant proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within the design, creative, or B2B sectors. You are adept at developing and delivering impactful marketing strategies that drive business growth.

An Inspiring Manager:

You have a track record of successfully leading and developing a marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Commercially Astute:

You have a strong understanding of business principles and can translate marketing activities into measurable results.

An Exceptional Communicator:

You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling brand vision to a variety of stakeholders.

Creative and Innovative:

You have a natural flair for creativity and a keen eye for design, coupled with a passion for staying ahead of marketing trends.

Organised and Proactive:

You are a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and driving initiatives forward.

A Collaborative Team Player:

You thrive in a team-oriented environment and are adept at working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

A degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Substantial experience in a senior marketing position, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful strategy development and implementation. Demonstrable experience in leading and managing a team. A deep understanding of the full marketing mix, including digital and offline channels.
