With major merchant partnerships rolling out and national expansion underway, we are now hiring a Head of Marketing to build and own the entire commercial growth system.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced, commercially-minded Head of Marketing who can take full ownership of:
Acquisition (builders, developers, apprentices)
Merchant activation & partnership marketing
Brand trust & content pipelines
Digital performance & funnel optimisation
Email, lifecycle, and retention
Paid social, PPC, and retargeting
Reporting, metrics, and forecasting
This is not a "sit in meetings" marketing role.
It is a hands-on, strategic + execution hybrid role for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and can build systems, not just campaigns.
You must understand:
funnels
customer behaviour
performance metrics
commercial outcomes
messaging frameworks
audience psychology
merchant B2B marketing
This role requires someone who is obsessed with clarity, results, and action.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the full marketing funnel
From first touch -> estimate purchase -> repeat estimate -> merchant conversion.
Deliver measurable improvements in:
cost per estimate
website conversion
form completion
retargeting performance
estimate ? material purchase rate
merchant activation metrics
2. Builder Acquisition
Build and manage multi-channel acquisition:
Meta (paid & organic)
TikTok
Google PPC
SEO
Partnerships
Influencers & trade creators
YouTube integrations (Build with A&E)
Messaging must focus on:
builder pains
quoting problems
margin leakage
time loss
winning work
structure & professionalisation
3. Merchant Activation Marketing
Support merchant branches with:
POS
branch tools
staff scripts
QR flows
dashboards
training materials
case studies
local content
Drive merchant -> builder referral volume and branch engagement.
4. Content & Brand Trust
Develop and oversee content pillars:
estimating explainers
professional quote packs
builder success stories
apprentices & education
merchant collaboration
construction humour & relatability
problem ? solution storytelling
Ensure alignment of tone:
PPC structure
keyword strategy
negative keywords
ad creative direction
landing page optimisation
CRO
retargeting funnel
warm audience growth
Reporting must be:
weekly
clear
commercially grounded
actionable
6. Data, Reporting & Insights
You must be strong with numbers.
Weekly dashboards covering:
estimate initiations
form progression
cost per stage
traffic quality
landing page performance
content engagement vs outcome
merchant activation data
Turn insight into action immediately.
7. Team Leadership
Lead, support and upskill:
Junior content creators
Designers
Freelancers
Agencies
Set clear expectations, structure, and output.
You must be hands-on and willing to build processes from scratch.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Experience:
5+ years in a senior marketing role
Track record of building acquisition funnels
Strong PPC + paid social experience
Proven ability to reduce CPA and scale performance
Confident with data, analytics, and commercial KPIs
Experience in trades, construction, SaaS, property or similar sectors (ideal but not essential)
Strong content understanding
Experience managing teams and agencies
Exceptional communication and clarity
Ability to think strategically and execute quickly
