xUnlocked (www.xunlocked.com) is an edtech scale-up. We are an on demand video-delivered B2B platform with two core products: Sustainability Unlocked and Finance Unlocked. Our platform delivers 1,000s of premium learning modules, all created in-house with 200 world leading expert practitioners and servicing 75 clients globally including the likes of Santander, BNP Paribas, Airbus and GSK.

We are also a B-Corp, focused on making a positive social impact through the power of education.

Who we are looking for

We\xe2\x80\x99re seeking an experienced marketing leader with 5+ years experience to be instrumental in driving growth for our B2B learning platform. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will be responsible for leading the execution of our marketing strategy and managing the team helping you do so. This role will be working across all products in the xUnlocked portfolio.


  • Marketing strategy. You will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy encompassing brand management, direct marketing, digital marketing, public relations, market research, events, above-the-line, content marketing, product marketing and community building..
  • Market positioning. You will be responsible for : defining the addressable market, understanding competition and our relative strengths and weaknesses, identifying and crafting messaging to ICPs, ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging.
  • Value propositions. You will have a deep understanding of our products, markets and personae and craft and communicate our value propositions to drive maximum success. You will be a key voice in ensuring our content and product offerings evolve in line with customer (and prospective customer) needs.
  • Digital marketing. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing campaigns through various online platforms. This includes analysing data, developing strategy, managing budgets, implementing SEO strategies, and monitoring and reporting on performance metrics to optimise marketing efforts and improve brand visibility.
  • Budget management. You will prepare and manage the marketing budget.
  • Data collation and analysis. You will effectively identify, collect and analyse available data to ensure the effectiveness and ROI of campaigns, continually improve marketing efforts, and reveal trends to help inform strategy.
  • Marketing funnel management. You will oversee the full marketing funnel from lead generation (including SEO, SEM, social, retargeting), lead nurturing, opportunity creation to supporting mid-funnel sales opportunities and ongoing customer advocacy (including case studies, testimonials, awards and reviews).
  • External image. You will build and manage relationships with media outlets, PR professionals and key industry stakeholders, ensuring a positive company image is promoted.
  • Customer-led marketing. You will work with key strategic accounts to help them evangelise their use of our products externally via our existing efforts in talks, events and customer advocacy.
  • Community building. You will create initiatives to foster a strong, engaged, and active community around our brand, product, or service. This will include the creation and implementation of community engagement strategies and tactics
  • Account-based marketing. You will devise and execute appropriate marketing activities to target and expand key strategic accounts.
  • Marketing process. You will champion marketing tools and processes with the broader team. You will continually identify and implement improvements to the marketing processes, and introduce new tools as required to ready us for scale.
  • Social media. You will oversee the company\'s social media platforms, manage content creation, and ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Brand ambassador. You will be respected, internally and externally, as a credible expert in the L&D/EdTech market, attending networking events and potential customer meetings to maintain a strong presence in the industry.
  • Team management. You will be responsible for guiding, resourcing and motivating the marketing team to deliver on the strategy.
  • Collaboration. You will build strong relationships with the sales, operations, content and product teams.
Qualifications

Must haves
  • Experience in working in a Series A scale-up and beyond.
  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing roles in a B2B SaaS business.
  • 3+ years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in a high-growth SaaS company, with a deep understanding of the Enterprise SaaS business model.

  • Experience working in an Edtech, Sustainability, Finance, or a B2B learning environment

  • Demonstrated track record of designing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with the latest marketing trends, technologies and methodologies in, content and product marketing.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, SEM and web analytics.
  • Experience with CRM software, marketing automation platforms, digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Strong leadership, team building, and management skills.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with proven ability to derive insights from analytics.
  • Proven experience working with C-Suite stakeholders and managing complex relationships.
  • Confident, presentable and able to represent xUnlocked as required.
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment, and able to tailor approaches to meet the needs of the business as it grows.
  • Not above getting involved doing the small or sometimes tedious tasks if they help keep the company on the path to success.
  • Empathetic and able to build solid and long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
