We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Head of Marketing to join our leadership team. This is a hybrid role, based remotely with travel to our hotels around the UK.

The role



Heading up our Marketing Team, you are responsible for bringing to life the marketing strategy for our hotels across all marketing channels - social media, websites, online search, content, email marketing, PR, design, etc.

You will be accountable for creating marketing plans for each of our hotels as well as Brightstar Hospitality - executing against those plans, adapting to their changing needs as you do so. This will suit someone who is equally at home planning marketing campaigns, meeting with our hotel leaders or running our digital platforms (including websites, SEM, CRM).

What you'll be doing



Leadership

Represent the Marketing function within the Leadership Team and hotel leaders, contributing relevant insight and ensuring alignment between marketing initiatives and overall business objectives.

Represent the business to hotel owners and other external stakeholders, with a professional and knowledgeable approach.

Lead presentations from time to time, including Hotel Leader conferences, marketing updates and training sessions, to communicate Marketing processes, plans and results.

Marketing Planning

Develop and deliver individual marketing plans across our portfolio of hotels that anticipate and respond to commercial opportunities.

Seek out and capitalise on opportunities for commercial growth, with particular emphasis on F&B, weddings and events.

Be the brand champion for the Brightstar brand to support our portfolio growth agenda, showcasing what we do and what we stand for.

Digital

Lead cross-portfolio digital platforms, including SEO and PPC (working with agencies), email marketing and social media planning.

Own our website development and maintenance (hotels and corporate) ensuring they are best in class.

Develop dynamic social content that is SEO focussed, generates new leads and helps us stand out from the crowd.

Oversee the email marketing calendar for all hotels, ensuring we continue to drive visibility and bookings.

Lead relationships with marketing agencies, ensuring they positively represent the hotels/Brightstar brand and deliver against commercial objectives.

Be responsible for all digital advertising activity, reporting on performance and ensuring objectives are met/exceeded.

Creative

Have a working knowledge of design, with a strong creative eye and the ability to lead in-house teams and external designers - understand what good looks like.

Lead the brand development for all independent hotels, ensuring the look and feel reflects each property's distinctive style and audience.

Support the team in creating hotel marketing collateral (eg menus, flyers, brochures, business cards etc), ensuring all hotel templates are functional, on-brand and suitable for purpose.

Work with internal teams (Development; People and Culture; Sales; Operations) to produce materials that support their objectives.

Reporting & Analysis

Demonstrate solid ability to report on web & digital activities, alongside making strategic recommendations.

Show a continuous drive to innovate and enhance services and ways of working across Marketing that ensures marketing can demonstrate a positive impact on the customer experience and on prospective guests.

Reflect and report on initiative effectiveness, utilising tools like Google Analytics, analysing the ROI and ensuring value-add.

Undertake continuous analysis of the competitor environment and consumer trends and the voice of expertise within the business.

Generate metrics and narrative for owner reporting that showcases the impact of our marketing efforts.

Encourage the use online advertising to increase market reach, business conversion and community growth within the Marketing Team and business.

Who we're looking for

Multi-channel, generalist Marketing leader, ideally (but not necessarily) in a multi-site hospitality environment.

An experienced planner who can juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting, agendas and make daily decisions on what to prioritise based on business objectives.

Hotel marketing experience is preferred, but not mandatory

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
