Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Department for Mathematics. As a key leadership role, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our mathematics department, leading a team of dedicated educators, and ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive and engaging curriculum.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Provide strategic direction for the mathematics department, aligning goals with the overall educational vision of the institution. Supervise and mentor mathematics faculty members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture. Oversee the development and implementation of effective teaching methodologies.

Curriculum Development:

Design and enhance the mathematics curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methods and staying abreast of industry trends. Ensure curriculum alignment with educational standards and requirements.

Educational Excellence:

Promote a culture of academic excellence, encouraging both students and faculty to strive for the highest standards. Implement strategies to support student achievement and success in mathematics.

Professional Development:

Facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for mathematics faculty, staying current with best practices in teaching and learning. Encourage research and scholarship within the department.

Collaboration:

Foster positive relationships with other department heads, administrators, and stakeholders to promote interdisciplinary collaboration. Work collaboratively with the leadership team to contribute to the overall success of the institution.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Mathematics or a related field. Extensive teaching experience in mathematics at the secondary or higher education level. Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education

Pay: 42,000.00-46,000.00 per year
