Job Description

Permanent

Full time (37 hours per week)

Come make a real difference as our Head of Neighbourhoods!

Everyone should have a warm, safe, affordable home. As our new Head of Neighbourhoods, you'll play a starring role in making this a reality for thousands of people living in our communities.

You'll inspire the team to deliver an exceptional, customer-focussed, localised neighbourhood management service. Working closely with tenants, you'll ensure that their thoughts, opinions and voices are heard across the organisation and champion the delivery of human-centric services that meet their needs.

Alongside the senior management team, you'll work to ensure that tenants and their homes are at the heart of every decision we make and give your team the confidence to challenge the way we do things on their behalf.

Focussed on early intervention and prevention, you will lead on taking a proactive approach to avoid crisis and maintain sustainable tenancies and neighbourhoods.

What you'll bring to the team

You'll lead and inspire the neighbourhood team in the delivery of a great customer experience, where tenants are at the heart of everything we do. Working with the Assistant Director of Neighbourhoods, you'll drive improvements to our services using tenant feedback alongside your own knowledge and expertise.

As a senior manager, you'll be dynamic, and values-driven with the ability to inspire and support the team to do the best for our tenants - helping them develop and grow in their roles.

What we are looking for

An exceptional leader who can inspire and motivate our team to deliver first-class services. A customer champion who will put our tenants first and makes sure this is embedded across their team so that tenants feel this. A problem solver who helps break down barriers to provide seamless services for our tenants. The ability to listen and learn but most importantly to act on what you're hearing.

About the team

The housing team is the heartbeat of Two Rivers Housing. It is fundamental to everything we do and plays a key role in advocating for our tenants. Whether it's working with the wider team to get repairs or home improvements completed or reaching out to our local partners to find additional support - doing the right thing for our tenants is at the heart of everything this team does.

We've listened to our tenants and heard what they need from the housing team now and in the future. Using this feedback, we've started to reshape the team to enable us to provide truly localised neighbourhood housing services.

Our housing team are pretty amazing, and now we have some new exciting opportunities for people to come and join them!

We have redesigned the service to allow us to have more time to be present in our neighbourhoods and really get to know our tenants. This will help us be more focussed on problem solving and nipping issues in the bud. It will also help us work more closely with other teams and partner organisations, for the benefit of our tenants and neighbourhoods.

This means we have some great new roles to advertise over the next few weeks.

So, if you're looking to make a real difference in your community and want to be part of a great team get in touch!

People lie at the heart of Two Rivers Housing's success and we offer great rewards in return for great contributions from our staff.

We have always been deeply committed to training, motivating and developing our staff in a variety of ways, and our continuing focus on this has been recognised by several prestigious external organisations. We are particularly proud to have earned our place in the Sunday Times 'Top 100 Best Not for Profit Organisations to Work For' and we have held the Investors in People 'Gold' accreditation for several years now. We've also won awards for our apprenticeship training programme.

Here are just a few of the many reasons why we - and others - think Two Rivers Housing is an excellent organisation to work for.

We're a not-for-profit community association that makes a real difference to the lives of thousands of people. We work in a modern, environmentally-friendly office, which has been nationally-accredited for energy-efficiency, sustainability and workplace safety. We offer a flexible approach to working styles and work-life balance, including options to use our flexi-time scheme, agile working policies and our job-share and part-time contracts. We run employee engagement initiatives and a reward scheme to recognise individual and team contributions. We believe in having fun at work too! We run social events, summer barbecues, morning briefings with breakfast thrown in, an annual all-staff awayday and there's always a plentiful supply of cake to raise money for charity and celebrate special occasions! * We support every member of staff to provide one day each year to support community projects that are really valued by the organisations and charities we help through activities such as gardening, litter-picking and painting.
