Job summary
At the forefront of shaping the future of energy regulation, Ofgem is directing the charge to transform the energy sector for a net zero future. We're looking for two outstanding individuals to join us as Head of Ofgem Strategy and Head of Markets Strategy. These strategic leadership roles will guide the organisation through a period of significant transformation and deliver wide-reaching impact across policy, regulation and consumer protection.
Ofgem is Great Britain's independent energy regulator. We're at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers - especially vulnerable people.
We're offering two permanent opportunities where you'll sit at the centre of shaping the regulatory strategy of one of the UK's most influential public bodies. These high-impact roles offer the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders across Ofgem and government, using strategic insight and innovation to help steer the direction of the energy market and Ofgem itself. You'll lead horizon scanning, strategic planning and critical policy thinking at the heart of one of the most vital sectors in the economy.
Whether advising the board on the future role of the regulator or designing the strategic direction of our Markets Group, you'll be influencing outcomes that directly affect how the UK delivers affordable, sustainable energy. You'll work on some of the most high-profile, cross-cutting and forward-looking projects in the energy sector, helping shape our response to the government's review and the UK's energy transition.

You'll benefit from a flexible and inclusive work culture, generous pension contributions and leave entitlements, and the opportunity to influence energy policy at a national level. These are unique senior roles where you'll have autonomy, visibility and a platform to drive meaningful, long-term change.
