ProBuild360 is a multi-award winning design-and-build construction company delivering complex, high-end residential and mixed-use projects across the West Midlands. We run a vertically integrated model -- design, procurement, and delivery -- which gives our clients an amazing experience when it is run well.

We are now creating a

Head of Operations

role to professionalise and scale how our projects are delivered.

This is not a site-based or client-facing role.

This role exists to ensure that:

The right people are on the right jobs

At the right time With the right materials In the right sequence
Your job is to make the business predictable, not heroic.

What you will actually be responsible for

You will own the

operating system

of the business.

This includes:

Labour & Subcontractor Control

Creating and maintaining the labour plan across all live sites Booking and allocating:
o Direct labour

o Regular subcontractors

o Specialist package subcontractors (e.g. roofing, steel, glazing, M&E, etc.)

Making sure no one turns up to a job that is not ready for them Making sure no job sits idle because of poor sequencing

Programme & Flow

Making sure every project has:
o A realistic programme

o Logical trade sequencing

o Clear dependencies

Spotting clashes, bottlenecks and risks before they happen Keeping multiple projects moving without chaos

Procurement & Lead Times

Coordinating with the design and procurement teams so:
o Long-lead items are ordered early

o Deliveries match site readiness

o Storage and handling are planned

Operational Performance

Tracking:
o Productivity

o Delays

o Labour efficiency

o Subcontractor performance

Removing weak suppliers and building strong ones Standardising what "good" looks like

Building the machine

This is not about doing the work yourself -- it is about:

Creating systems Creating routines Creating visibility So the company does not depend on one person's memory or heroics.

What you will NOT be doing

This role is deliberately not responsible for:

Leading client communication Complaints handling Sales Emotional firefighting
There will be Project Managers and Client Liaison managers who deal with clients. You make sure they have a machine that actually works.

Experience we are looking for

You will typically have:

Experience in construction, fit-out, or project-based delivery Managed multiple projects at once Worked with subcontractors and direct labour Run programmes, schedules, or operations teams Used systems, spreadsheets, or software to track resources and progress
Formal qualifications are less important than evidence you can run a complex operation without it collapsing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 70,000.00-85,000.00 per year
