Imperial College London is seeking an exceptional

Head of Operations and Engagement

to lead the operational and strategic development of the

Digital Foundry

, a cross-disciplinary hub within the new

School of Convergence Science

. This is a unique opportunity to shape a pioneering initiative that amplifies expertise in

AI for Science and Engineering, Robotics, and Digital Innovation

, driving collaboration across disciplines and supporting Imperial's vision for transformative research.


What you would be doing


---------------------------


The Head of Operations and Engagement will:


Provide strategic and operational leadership to realise the Foundry's vision. Oversee space and infrastructure management for the I-HUB's 5th and 6th floors. Develop sustainable financial and operational frameworks. Foster partnerships across Imperial and with external stakeholders. Champion a positive, inclusive research culture and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a dynamic leader with:


Significant experience in operations or programme management within a university or research setting. Strong strategic planning and financial management skills. Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure and multi-stakeholder initiatives. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to build trust across disciplines. Knowledge of interdisciplinary research culture, ideally in AI, Robotics, or related digital fields.
