We are currently recruiting for a "Head of Outbound" to join our flagship site based in Northampton. Supporting our Toolstation contract you will be heading up the Outbound department ensuring the operational performance meets all internal business targets and clients\' expectations.

Joining us on a full-time, permanent contract, your working hours will be any 5 days from 7, covering the PM shift 14:00-22:00. This will eventually move to Monday - Friday, 12:00-20:00 however flexibility will be required.

What you\'ll do on a typical day:

  • Work with the customer to identify priority areas in the business and work effectively to improve on a priority basis
  • Handle customer queries and ensure the administrative functions are managed in accordance with agreed SLAs
  • Identify areas of improvement within the Outbound processes and manage operational constraints in partnership with the Tool Station and GXO senior teams
  • Implement effective control of resources ensuring all operational standards are maintained, following operational procedures across all shifts
  • Management of the Shift Managers, to include full performance management, objective setting, absence management, appraisal process
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Graduate level or a minimum of 5 years logistics industry experience, of which at least 2 years in line management.
  • Strong team management and coaching skills, coupled with the ability to drive and implement change
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to build credible and strong professional relationships at all levels
  • Experience working with internal and external customers, with the ability to influence stakeholders
