About The Role




Join Dals as our

Head of People

and lead the charge in shaping a thriving, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. Reporting to the Operations Director, youll drive strategic HR initiatives, champion employee engagement, and oversee a talented People team. This is a unique opportunity to influence culture, lead change, and align people strategies with business success. The role will be full-time, 9am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We work on a hybrid basis, with one working day from home each week, the other working days are based in our Old Trafford, Manchester office.

Main Duties & Responsibilities




To oversee that all aspects of human resources and people management, including Recruitment and Learning and Development for the Valorem Group. Developing and implementing People/HR strategies, policies, and practices that support the company's goals and objectives

These responsibilities will be achieved through:



Strategic HR Leadership

: Developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the groups overall business objectives.

Advice and Guidance:

Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team on all people-related matters.

Change Management:

Lead change management initiatives and support organisational development.

Talent Acquisition and Retention

: Overseeing recruitment processes to attract top talent and implementing retention strategies to keep employees engaged and motivated.

Employee Development

: Overseeing and managing training and development programmes to ensure continuous professional growth for employees.

Performance Management

: Establishing performance evaluation systems and ensuring regular feedback and appraisals are conducted.

Employee Relations

: Addressing employee concerns, managing conflict resolution, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Employee Experience:

Design and lead initiatives such as the Employee Opinion Survey and Employee Groups to enhance engagement

Compliance and Policy Management

: Ensuring the organisation complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations, and maintaining up-to-date policies.

Compensation and Benefits

: Designing and managing competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain employees.

HR Analytics

: Using data and analytics to inform HR decisions and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Diversity and Inclusion:

Promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace and implementing initiatives to support a diverse workforce.

Health & Safety

: Overseeing and managing Health and Safety requirements for the Manchester site.

About You



Qualification:

Business/Human Resources or related field, ideally a Level 7 or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.

Leadership and Strategic Thinking

: The ability to provide strategic leadership, align HR initiatives with business objectives, and drive organisational change.

: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey policies, procedures, and expectations to employees at all levels.

: The ability to manage and drive change within the organisation, ensuring smooth transitions and supporting employees throughout the process.

: Strong skills in mediating and resolving conflicts to maintain a harmonious workplace environment.

Analytical Skills

: The ability to analyse data and metrics to inform decisions and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Knowledge of Employment Law

: A thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations to ensure the organisation remains compliant.

Cultural Awareness

: An appreciation for and ability to manage a diverse workforce, fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace culture.

Talent Management

: Expertise in recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent to ensure the organisation has the skills and capabilities needed to succeed.

Adaptability

: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and remain flexible in the face of new challenges.

Professional Membership:

MCIPD membership or equivalent.
