Job Summary and Purpose:
To ensure that the performance of NI Hospice is effectively measured across a critical set of performance measures relating to care, education, income and corporate services and that the organisation operates within a robust and quality risk and governance framework. To utilise the performance framework to support with strategic direction for the organisation in conjunction with the Hospice Leadership team and Board of Trustees.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) this position plays a pivotal role in delivering the overall Strategy for NI Hospice and ensures that we can demonstrate organisational excellence. The post holder will develop and utilise performance related data to inform strategic decisions, engaging directly with the executive team and the board of trustees. The postholder ensures that NI Hospice operates in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and contractual obligations, including health and safety. The postholder ensures all information for external reporting requirements to statutory bodies e.g., RQIA, ICO, Charities Commission, Fundraising Regulator etc. are delivered on time, paying attention to detail and ensuring accuracy.
The role is responsible for reporting on risk and performance, escalating matters of concern to senior management and supporting solutions to address areas for improvement.
